SUNDAY MORNING KIDS TOWN MINISTRIES

Welcome to Light and Life’s Ministry for Kids! Our mission is to partner with parents in raising their kids to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. We have a lot of programs to choose from and hope you’ll bring your kids and join us.

KIDS TOWN EXPERIENCE.

9:15 or 10:45 a.m.

Nursery: 6 weeks - 17 months

Toddlers: 18 months - 2 years

Preschool: 2 years - Pre-K

Elementary: K - 5th Grade

PARENTS OF CHILDREN.

Your kids are in good hands at Light and Life.  We are intentional about providing your children with biblical activities in a safe and fun environment appropriate for each age group.  When kids turn three, they transition into our Children's Church program (3 yr. – Pre K) where they begin to experience Bible stories. In Kid's Church (K – 5th grade) kids begin engaging in worship together and relate the Bible to their own walk.

CHILDREN CHECK-IN.

When you enter through the north door, stop by the iPad in the lobby to have your child checked in. You will then be directed to your child's classroom to drop them off.

SECURITY.

Your child's safety is very important to us. Each week you check in, you'll receive a randomly assigned number that will be used to pick up your child. If you lose your child's corresponding tag, you will need to present identification in order to receive your child. All classrooms have at least two volunteers, and every adult volunteer has been screened and background checks are on file.

PURE Friendship Ministry: Kids with Special Needs (10:45am only)

P - Perfectly created by God

U - Uniquely gifted by God

R - Receptive to God's love

E - Eternally God's child

Our PURE kids get to engage with Bible stories in an inclusive setting with the help of a Special Ed. Aide and a buddy.  We do our best to create a fun atmosphere for all children, and to include kids with unique abilities and needs in our ministry.  PURE is currently an inclusive setting in our elementary classroom.  Kids have centers, worship, a lesson, small groups, an activity, and a snack along with the rest of the K-5th graders.

Pulse Student Ministry

We exist to make Christ known in order to see lives changed that go and change lives.

We believe that students are able to do more than consume. When unified, we believe they can be the beginning of something great that God wants to do in this next generation.
Will you join us?

HIGH SCHOOL

9-12th graders

Sundays at 6-7:30 p.m.

Church is not boring at HSM! Students in the 9th through 12th grade hang out with friends, cool small group leaders and do church in a way that's relevant to what they're dealing with everyday and connects with the message of Jesus.

It's not your mom's church though - we have fun, eat a lot of food and make life changing experiences you definitely won't forget.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

6-8th graders

Wednesdays at 6:30-8 p.m.

We think middle school students rock and we designed a midweek experience that is crazy-fun but spiritually super charged just for your 6th, 7th and 8th graders!

Each Wednesday night, students have their own worship service that has a combination of live band worship, games, a challenging talk, and interaction with a small group.

Celebrate Recovery

Thursdays 6:30 p.m.

Celebrate Recovery

Thursdays 6:30 p.m.

“The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through 8 Recovery Principles. By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power – Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.” from Pastor John Baker

Celebrate Recovery at Light and Life meets Thursdays at 6:30 p.m for fellowship and light snacks. Our large group meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. with Open Share Groups at 8:00 p.m.  For more information click the link below or contact lightandlifecr@gmail.com.

Celebration Place is a 52-week program that mirrors the Celebrate Recovery one-year, large group teaching schedule and curriculum plan. This means that while adults explore topics that bring healing and wholeness, their kids are discovering the same truths in age-appropriate ways!

Our CR program currently offers Celebration Place every other Thursday evening.  We have a desire to expand and open our class every Thursday night.  To find out if we are meeting this week, check the Kids Town Events Calendar.

HOME CHURCH MINISTRY

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups. For that reason, Light and Life Church has small Bible studies held in member homes. Group size varies. There are family friendly groups, a parents of young children group and adult only groups.  Please contact our Connections Pastor, Pastor Deana, at deana4kids@sbcglobal.net.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Don’t worry about wearing a suit and tie or formal clothes – unless that’s what makes you feel comfortable. We want you to come dressed how you’re most comfortable! The main entry into the building is on the north side, actually behind the building as you drive into the parking lot. We emphasize contemporary Christian music in our services, though we continue to value traditional songs from the history of the church.

I enjoyed the friendly and warm atmosphere that my family was welcomed with Sunday at our first service.

I love my church family!
